With any hand swaged assembly it is vitally important to ensure that the swage (ferrule, sleeve, crimp) and the swaging tool are correctly matched. Hand swaging tools and ferrules are not designed to conform with international standards such as DIN or EN. They are therefore not necessarily interchangable in the way DIN or EN machine swages and dies are.

We manufacture our tools and ferrules to match one another. When you use a correctly matched CLAMP tool and ferrule, as per our directions, and on the wire diameter for which they are designed, you are using a proven system that will test to the minimum breaking load of the wire cable. But remember -

With all swaged assemblies it is essential that pull tests (recognising appropriate safety margins) be performed prior to use to ensure that the assembly is fit for its intended purpose.
